I've had my share of Burmese by now, but Shwe definitely had something distinct. The tofu in any entree was something to cherish, only to find out from the chef that their Tofu was home made from scratch.
Shan Noodles (veggie version) is something you shouldn't miss, the noodle was topped with a yellow sauce and the Tofu was tender, jus melted when it met the tongue.
Wow, I'm sure to visit again.

I was a little bit hesitant not knowing what type of cuisine this was but Kevin the owner guided us and we had three outstanding dishes. Fried oyster mushrooms with a delicious tangy sauce was a great way to start and the serving size was large, enough for 3. The tea leaf salad was a beautiful presentation, super healthy and yummy. The garlic noodles was probably my favorite.

The modern atmosphere is lovely and comfortable. The service was outstanding. This is a new restaurant and the owners are hands on, super sweet and make great Burmese food. Check them out.

+ Yay, we have a Burmese restaurant in Livermore!
    + super friendly service
+ large food menu (includes 2 whole menu pgs of vegetarian dishes)
+ tasty food, really enjoyed the rose lemonade and the tea leaf salad
+ not empty but not packed either so we easily got a table

    - limited drink options

Growing up in the inner Richmond of SF, Burma Superstar was my first introduction to Burmese cuisine. The tea leaf salad here is just as enjoyable; plus, the dishes are more reasonably priced for the amount of food. Definitely plan on coming back!

Enjoying all the Burmese restaurant openings in the tri valley area. So we came out here to compare it to Burma Burma and have got to say they are both good can't go wrong with either one. We ordered 5 dishes and they were all good! My favorite was the Roti canai with chicken curry , the curry was so good . Their rainbow is totally different from other Burmese restaurants and we loved it, ours was made a little spicy so if you don't want spicy make sure to ask for it that way.

Exceptional customer service. Plus the food is good value for the price.  The Tea Leaf Salad was exceptional. We are used to getting more veggies from other restaurants. They have way more nuts and peanuts than vegetables. It's so tasty. Every bite is a blend of tea leaf and mixed nuts and other flavor   Our kids enjoyed it very much.

We also njoyed the Coconut Chicken Noddle.  It was served to us into 4 bowls: hubby, 2 kids, and I.  Our 6-yr old finished half of the dish. He loved it so much, he was licking his spoon after he had his noodle, chicken, and soup.

Another good dish was the Lamb in Potatoes and Curry.  The meat was so tender. It almost melts in your mouth.  The lamb worked well in the curry.  It went very well with their white rice.  The rice was close to being sticky rice with was not too filling as sticky rice.

The pork sesame was nothing exceptional but it was a good dish for the kids.  The Parata and chicken curry dish was delicious. I wish the Parata was a little more flaky but it all worked.  The chicken curry was a perfect pair of the Parata.

The service was exceptional!  They thought of everything.  I like how they served their food in a timely manner.  They are there to make the dining experience pleasant and enjoyable.  They covered everything, including the nice thick fluffy bathroom tissue!

Overall, we had a wonderful experience.  The food, service, and venue was great.
